Thurs March 19, 2009. Comanche, OK. 15 mile jump. Grass lot. Cool and overcast.

Arrived at the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus last night after a long drive from California with way too much mechanical drama. Fuel issues, despite a new fuel pump. Even after all the mechanics weighed in and billed accordingly we were stopping every hundred miles to blow out the filters.

This is the 25th season for CM.

If the van has been sitting for a while, you have all kinds of broken down gas and rust in the tank.
Pull the tank and flush it out, blow out all the fuel lines and replace the inline filter and the one on the carb.
If you have alot of rust in the tank, you may want to replace it. Maybe able to find an aftermarket tank.
